The Process
A cycle of continuous improvement
01
Diagnose
Task teams identify the real challenges they face — using structured listening, data review, and root cause analysis.
02
Plan
I Workshops bring teams together to set priorities, design practical actions, and allocate responsibility — with senior staff as participants and facilitators.
03
Implement
Teams act, supported by coaching, peer visits, and regular check-ins. When problems arise, they solve them — using available resources .
04
Evaluate
Strategically timed workshops surface what worked and what didn’t, with measurement data to guide honest reflection. Learning is structured — and feeds directly into the next cycle.

Our Methods
Three disciplines, one integrated practice
LEAD draws on three established fields — combining their strengths into something greater than the sum of its parts.
Organisation Development
(OD)
Organisation Development methods help teams understand how power, communication, and culture shape what gets done — and how to reshape these for collective effectiveness. It's the discipline behind the "system in the room" and peer facilitation techniques that LEAD uses.
Quality Improvement
(QI)
Quality Improvement provides the tools for identifying problems, testing solutions, and measuring change. It gives teams the habit of asking "how do we know it's working?" — and the skills to find out. LEAD's measurement systems are grounded in QI principles.
Participatory Action Research (PAR)
Participatory Action Research ensures that the knowledge generated in LEAD processes is owned by the teams themselves. Front-line workers and community members aren't just research subjects — they are researchers, analysts, and decision-makers in their own right.
